In the Beginning

Avetrium began its days as a Systems Integrator. We specialized in assembling asset management systems from the ground up. We combined RFiD technologies, GPS technologies, mobilile computing and other hardware and data collection techologies with custom developed software to consolidate data and make it available to existing business systems. And where existing business systems couldn't manage this new data, we provided various consoles to allow our customers to see real time data, compile reports, perform trend analysis and solve their unique business problems. We have peered into a wide variety of industries: transportation, natural resources, mining, nuclear power plants, waste management, retail, manufacturing, services, and more. And we always believed that every solution we created was different, unique. We were wrong.

The Common Link

In all of the deployments we undertook we began to see patterns and challenges common to every client. The core of each solution: connectivity to a wide variety of hardware, data collection, network issues and data integrity, data consolidation and availability were all the same regardless of the ultimate application of the data. In many cases, even the data visibility and reporting followed common patterns. It was time to stop re-inventing the wheel with every deployment. We turned our focus to development of a flexible software and server suite to expedite integration with any data collection hardware, securely capture and consolidate data, and support instant visibility and traceability through integration to third party asset management software and our own Web based portal. The Avetrium Suite was born.

Avetrium Suite
The Avetrium Suite is the hub to your RFiD, GPS, or other mixed asset management system.
The Avetrium Suite
  • Avetrium Mobile Agent: Software for handheld / mobile computers for asset enrollment, inquiries. Brandable, customizable.
  • Avetrium Gateway: Connecting to RFiD, GPS, PLC devices, and the Avetrium Mobile Agent for data collection, caching, forwarding to the Avetrium Engine, and exchange.
  • Avetrium Engine: Exchange data with the Avetrium Gateway, consolidation and storage, connectivity via API to third party software, and interfaced to the Avetrium Dashboard.
  • Avetrium Dashboard: Web based portal for real time asset configuration, visibility, traceability (reporting), optional customized functionality, and Avetrium Suite configuration.
Facilities:
Avetrium is located in Milton, Ontario, Canada, just minutes from Pearson (Toronto) International Airport. Our facilities include 4,000+ sq ft of office, plus 6,000 sq ft of warehouse. Most of our development and client support happens from this facility. Our warehouse allows us to inventory equipment for our clients and it provides an environment where we can test and demonstrate Avetrium in action.
